Yida garment is a social business that supports vulnerable village based communities to empower themselves through skill training in tailoring and screen printing.

Yida garment uses tailoring as a business and empowerment because of its simplicity

and ease in knowledge transfer. We focus on local markets for both its clients and

beneficiaries.

Tailoring market in Koyonzo is faced with the challenge of high production costs due to lack of local factories and suppliers for textiles and relevant equipment. High level of unemployment which is compounded by high levels of semi-literacy and lack of employ- ability skills. This problem is made worse by lack of technical know-how in running tailoring businesses and go-to-market skills.
